Feb. 12 (UPI) -- Sheriff's deputies in Minnesota came to the rescue of a deer that wandered into a resident's backyard batting cage and got tangled in netting.
The Ramsey County Sheriff's Office said on social media that deputies responded to a home Feb. 3 when a buck was found with its antlers entangled in the netting surrounding a backyard batting cage.
Body camera footage shows one deputy wrestling the young deer to keep it still so another deputy could use a knife to cut through the netting and free the deer.
The buck's getaway was temporarily delayed by the animal's back leg getting caught in the net as it tried to flee.
The deputy was able to pull the deer free from its secondary entanglement and it was released back into the wild.
