โIn a move that surprised absolutely no one who has spent any time in Florida, a large yellow pet python decided a car dashboard was a more desirable home than its enclosure and wedged itself so thoroughly inside the vehicle that its owner had to call firefighters for help. The Coral Springs Fire Department showed up to perform what is apparently now a standard Florida extraction: snake, from dashboard, alive. The python was eventually recovered; the car presumably needs therapy.โ

Why It's Weird
These are the stories that make you question whether reality has become deliberately surreal. While the weirdness score is more modest, the story still offers a fascinating glimpse into life's unexpected moments.
March 10 (UPI) -- Firefighters in Florida came to the rescue of a large pet python that slithered into the dashboard of a car and wouldn't come out.
The Coral Springs Fire Department said on social media that it was a "slithery situation" during the weekend when a driver pulled up to Station 43 and requested help.
"A python happened to slither his way into the car dashboard area," the post said.
Videos from the scene show firefighters partially removing the driver's seat of the car to give them more room to look for the snake. A firefighter is eventually able to grab hold of the yellow serpent and safely pull it out from its hiding space.
